Berni Flint achieves what few can as a solo artist: a wondrous comedy performance underpinned by top-quality vocals. This makes for fantastic entertainment and a thrilling cabaret show. He brings an innovative, fun and classy act that has gained a mass following and won accolades. Flint was propelled to fame with his remarkable stint on the television programme, Opportunity Knocks, which hewon a record 12 weeks in succession. Fans voted for him each week as the best act on the show and this helped him acquire a loyal fan-base - he remained one of the most successful Opportunity Knocks winners throughout the show’s history. His success led to a contract as a commercial recording solo artist.
The high point of his career at the time was reached when his single, 'I Don’t Want to Put a Hold on You' rose to number 3 in the UK charts in 1977. Over the years, countless audiences have had the pleasure of experiencing his wonderful cabaret performances and smooth soft vocals. He featured on television shows including ‘Seaside Special’, ‘Punchlines’ and ‘The Little & Large Show’. This led to him beingnamed Top Male Vocal Entertainer in the National Club Awards. He also presented Pop Gospel in the 1970s and was a co-presenter on the ITV programme Mooncat & Co in 1985.
